Do You Have To Let A Social Worker In Your Home?

California attorney Vincent W. Davis talks about how to handle if a social worker comes to your door and wants to be let in your home.
First thing to know is that you can legally refuse to let anyone in your home if they do not have a warrant or court order to enter the premises.

You may have a social worker and even a police officer come to your home and aggressively try to sell you it's their rights to enter your home on behalf of your children. But the truth is they cannot do so without a warrant or a court order. The only exception to this rule is something called exigent circumstances. This means that one or both of them has to have seen something in plain sight that alarmed them and forced them to come in to your home in order to protect the child. Speak to an attorney about what legal rights you have when it comes to your home and how social services conducts their interviews and investigation. Watch the video to learn more.

To learn more about juvenile dependency law, I encourage you to watch the video above and to explore our educational website at http://www.fightchildprotectiveservic..., where you can read about the 8 things you should do if social services comes to your door.
